Amanda Bossard was just out of high school when she started her marine biology studies at Alaska PacificUniversity in Anchorage. Bossard began her professional career as a commercial seafood expert in 1999, when she started working on board the F/V Sunset the 65' halibut schooner turned salmon tender for Murat Aritan, an commercial fisherman from 1993. Bossard who is the wife of Aritan, has joined their forces in order to claim their industries. Both of them are favour of conserving resources as well as maximizing the profits. Otolith, a wholesale direct seafood distributor was opened in 2007 by Bella Bossard (age three), Andre Bossard (1 year old) and the Bossard's mother. Bossard had returned to Philadelphia following the birth of two children.
